On Stage With Me and My Friends

About once a year I have the opportunity to perform in a show. I've been in the same show for 4 years now. We have a great time. We don't worry too much about professional styling, just having a good time with friends. Maybe someday I'll start performing more regularly. I really get a thrill from being on stage. Imagine, me wanting to be the center of attention!?!

I performed a Cyndi Lauper number titled "The Ballad of Cleo & Joe". I love Cyndi's work anyway, and this song is a tribute to all the drag performers she's worked with in the past. It tells the story of Joe stuck in a hideous day job, who transforms himself into Cleo, a fabulous dancing queen.

Some of my best girlfriends and I got together in a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the Spice Girls. We performed "Say You'll Be There" and "Wannabe". We had a great time, and managed to get through it without running into each other.
